Dutch Nu-Jazz @ Jazzkomm Berlin

Besides the well known Popkomm, this year there will be also a Jazzkomm on the 8-10th of September in Airport Berlin Tempelhof. We will be present on the conference and both The Jazzinvaders and State of Monc will do a showcase on the 9th of September in Frannz Club.

Double Bill: Monsieur Dubois + The Jazzinvaders

On Thursday May 6 The Jazzinvaders and Monsieur Dubois will join the stage and treat Rotterdam with some latest Dutch Nu-Jazz vibes taken from the "What's Nu?" release. Extra ingredient: DJ Pat, best known for his notorious nights at Bar P. The evening will be hosted by Jazzpodium Rotterdam, and take place in WATT. An excellent chance to catch up for those who couldn't make it in Amsterdam in March!

Daniel Nösig and Christian Fehre join Monsieur Dubois

Monsieur Dubois welcomes two new members on the bandstand, bringing new dynamics to the band: on trumpet Daniel Nösig, on percussion Chris Fehre. Both musicians played with Monsieur Dubois before, sitting in for Udo Demandt and Dirk Beets, who have left the band over the past year. With a new album in the making, Monsieur Dubois is happy to rely on these two great musicians and operate with full force again. Come and check them out next Thursday in Rotterdam!

State of Monc - Phantom Speaker release

On Sunday May 16th State of Monc will present their long-awaited new album Phantom Speaker. This album consists of a live CD and DVD, recorded live about a year ago. The presentation concert will take place in The Sugar Factory, Amsterdam and will start at 21h30. Wicked Jazz Sounds afterwards included. The album will be in stores (including online on iTunes) in the Benelux from Monday May 17th.There is also a pre-release concert in Rotterdam, May 15th in WMDC during the NuMoon Weekender.

"WHAT'S NU?" cd-releaseparty @ Paradiso

On Wednesday 24.03, the Dutch Nu-Jazz Movement is going to present its first official joint release: "WHAT'S NU?". A brand new album filled with tracks by all four bands, recorded especially for this cd and soon available worldwide through Social Beats/Unique Records. Apart from new band tracks, a hand full of remixes were added by Phil Martin, Part Time Heroes and State Of Monc for extra appetite. We'll promise you a packed program in March, with shows by The Jazzinvaders, Monsieur Dubois and State Of Monc and the charming support of MC Lennie St Luce and DJ Philippona. Party will be held at the Paradiso (upstairs) and starts at 20h30 (door: 19h30).

State of Monc show Bimhuis now online

State of Monc entered 2010 with a fully packed Bimhuis in Amsterdam last month. The legendary concert room was sold out and could hardly capture over 400 enthusiastic listeners. Luckily the VPRO recorded this evening, Radio 6 broadcasted it live, and now you can listen to the full concert and watch video snippits HERE.
