State of Monc

Based in the Netherlands and with Arthur Flink (trumpet) and Hielke Praagman (electronics) as its core, State of Monc are in the front line of Dutch nu jazz.

The band was formed in early 2000 and released its first album "Hand to Mouth" in 2002. State of Monc's second album "Clippertron" was released in september 2006 by Challenge Records.

Live, the group exists of seven musicians who together take instrumental music to the next level. Check out their live videos at youtube for a good impression. Currently, the band is working on their third album, which release wil be announced on this site!
